December 14th DAY SEVEN : PRAY


VISUALIZATION: Well worth repeating from yesterday, go even deeper today as you ask for Jesus’s instruction. From your sacred space, take 5 looong, deeeep breaths. Set a timer if you need. Connect with the vision and feeling of being the vessel of ideal health you hold for yourself. Think, feel, and do (in your mind) the things you would do if you had the energy, strength, no pain, and vitality that you desire. Now, you have spent nearly a week working with this visualization. Now, heed the words of Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct you and show you the way you should walk, give you counsel with my eye upon you.” Bring Jesus into your visualization and ask Him to instruct you and show you the way you should walk, how to embody better health. Ask Him to show you how to be a willing participant in what you can change about your habits, your vices, your lifestyle in order to have the energy, strength, and vitality you desire. Let Him teach you and show you the way you should walk. Ask and then listen.


Staying in your sacred space, REFLECT on the following and if you would like, write any thoughts in your journal, use the questions as prompts:




Matthew 21:12–13 “And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money changers, and the seats of them that sold doves, And said unto them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but ye have made it a den of thieves.”


Jesus entered into the temple and quickly began to cleanse it of things that were not suitable, that served no purpose in his Father’s house. Just as we need to have regular conversion to our faith, we need to be cleansed regularly too by Christ. How can you allow him to cleanse you of the habits that don’t serve you or your health?


PRAY: This evening, shut down all screens, even tv, for at least 2 hours before you go to bed. Capitalize on using this time to get extra movement on the floor, spend more time in prayer, and create with pen and paper a meal plan for a day of healthy eating in the days to come. Pay close attention and become aware of the mental and physical blessings a screen free evening can bring.



A prayer for your day: Lord, cleanse me of things within my own temple that do not serve me, you, or those around me. Make my body and soul a pure dwelling place for the Spirit. Amen.
